2011-2012 Swarm Staff Bio
My name is Jordan Fraser. I am 19 years old and I am currently in my sophomore year at
Johnson County Community College. I stared playing volleyball when I was 10. My favorite
and best position was a setter but I also enjoyed the time I got as an outside hitter. I played for
both Junior Varsity and Varsity at Lee’s Summit North high school. I have always been a very
competitive player and also very encouraging to everyone. I can see that being a huge part in
my coaching. Unfortunately in the middle of my sophomore season I injured my shoulder and
ended up with three shoulder surgeries. I wasn’t able to return. I was still involved in the team
and went to every game after that to support the team. I have still been playing with friends for
fun because that’s all my shoulder could handle. I have been looking for a way back in to
volleyball since then and this is it! While playing volleyball for North I always enjoyed working
with the younger girls for our volleyball camp. I want to be able to give these girls what I feel
like some of my coaches lacked and pass on what my best coaches taught me. Scott Stone
was actually my coach when I was 11.

My family is what is most important to me. My mom’s name is Erin, my dad’s name is Rich
and then I have an older brother named Brandon. I also have three dogs at home. Two of them
are boxers and the other one is a shih-tzu. Rascal, Saber, and Bailey are my kids. Everyone in
my family has played volleyball and it is something that we all enjoy doing together. My family
was always there for me while I was playing and practiced with me often. I encourage all
parents to be a huge part of their daughter’s sports life as my parents where for me.
I am a very out spoken, bubbly, and energetic person. I enjoy every moment of life and don’t
let people bring me down. I like to do so many things for fun. I can be a girly girl and get all
dressed up for the night and go out shopping but then I enjoy playing and watching all sports
just as much. Of course volleyball is my favorite! I am also currently working at Innovations
Salon & Spa as my internship for school and also at Applebee’s. I enjoy my work and always
work hard giving 110%
