Factoid
As Co-Founder, Chris and I brain stormed and planned this club from the bleachers during rec-ball and
turned it into the club that it is today. We knew that there had to be a better way to develop the players -
one that would give more girls a chance to play the sport they love. A club that would give them the skills
and the fundamentals that they would need to be a great and competitive team player. So, with
$1,800.00 and two teams, (which was 4 by the time the competitive season started) the group evolved
into The Southside Swarm Volleyball Club and "Home of the Killer Bees" . Now we are the largest
competitive volleyball club in the Southeastern corner Kansas City area. This year the goal is set for ten
teams and to host six major tournaments. That's pretty impressive for a club that only 3 years in the
making. Our motto - Attitude is Everything.
Club Responsibilities
As Club Coordinator I preform the essentials from "behind the scenes". My job directly helps determine
the overall success of the club. Paperwork, roosters, club fees, uniform orders and distribution, club wear
orders etc. I also coordinate the team moms, offer suggestions on team building projects, food list, maps,
direction to hotels and tournaments.
