Interested in Coaching for The Swarm?

The Southside Swarm Volleyball Club has both head coach and assistant coaching
positions open for individuals who are interested in coaching youth competitive
volleyball. The Swarm is looking for individuals who have a similar personal
coaching philosophy as the club and a background in coaching. The club is willing to
work with new coaches if they are committed to becoming quality instructors.
The Swarm's philosophy for coaching is focused on player development during
practice and more towards winning during tournaments - specifically during the
bracket play phase of the tournament. The Swarm believes that our coaches are
paid to coach, not setup equipment, deal with problem parents, arrange for facilities,
etc. Therefore, the Swarm provides additional gym staff at all practices to handle
these issues. Our club staff also includes a club clinician staff to handle all player
officiating and scorekeeper training, and two professional Speed and Strength
Coaches for player physical training and development. These additional training
items are handled outside of regular practice sessions and free our coaches to focus
exclusively on coaching volleyball and team development.
All Swarm coaches must meet HOA requirements to include a background check.
The Swarm will pay for the required background check, IMPACT certification, first
aid training and coaching supplies and equipment. All Swarm coaches are paid a
salary based on experience and specific team commitments.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Southside Swarm Volleyball Club
Coaching Staff, or would like to find out more information please contact Chris
Heman, Club Director, by email or phone - 816-537-8106.
