Swarm Note: If you have been involved in club volleyball anytime over the past several years chances are your
team has played at the Family Life Center in Independence, MO. All Swarm teams play there at least once or
twice each season and it's always an enjoyable day. BVAC (Blue Valley Activity Center) is part of Blue Valley
Church (east of 291 just off of 23rd St). The Blue Valley Church is a member of the Community of Christ Church
that ownes the Family Life Center.

BVAC runs approximately 25-30 tournaments per season and they are an integral part of the HOA volleyball
tournament structure. This is largely due to the efforts and dedication of Becky Elkins. - BVAC Co-Director. The
article above is from the 1st Quarter 2008 issue of
Sidelines - published by BVAC.

Currently, we are in danger of losing the use of the Family Life Center for volleyball tournaments - largely due to
the behavior of a few of the "guests" who attend the volleyball tournaments. Outside food and facility abuse are
a constant issue and those responsible for the facility are understandably at a point where they want to simply
end the problems by eliminating the volleyball tournaments all together. The loss of 25-30 LOCAL tournaments
would have a significant impact on all clubs.

Becky Elkins is our  representative and champion. Please give her your support by complying with all facility
rules. Additionally, the next time you are at a BVAC tournament you might even seek her out to thank her for her
efforts and express your appreciation for the many tournaments she has hosted over the years.
 Thanks Becky!
